Tolvi Accounts, accounts production software for UK practicesFrom trial balance to approved accounts, without re-keying
Tolvi Accounts is accounts production software for UK practices. It produces draft accounts for companies, LLPs, sole traders, partnerships and charities from a Working Papers file or your own trial balance, ready for you to review.

From trial balance to approved accounts
Step 1: Start the set
Pick the client and the period end. The client’s type decides who the accounts are for, and Tolvi suggests a framework you can change.
Step 2: Bring in the figures
Type or import a trial balance, or link a Working Papers file.
Step 3: Answer the facts
Say what applies, and the notes follow. An item with nothing to disclose drops out.
Step 4: Check and edit
Preview the accounts with comparatives, clear any review points, and change the wording of a note where you need to. Tables and balance sheet statements can’t be overwritten.
Step 5: Record the approval
A partner records the approval by default, and a firm can allow managers. Every page says “Draft, not approved” until then.
What it does
From the figures to the approval
With or without Working Papers
Accounts works on its own from a typed or imported trial balance, and Working Papers works without Accounts.
FRS 105, FRS 102 Section 1A and full FRS 102
Primary statements and notes for micro-entities, small companies and everyone else, under dated thresholds kept as data.
LLPs, on the LLP SORP
The same three frameworks with an LLP’s own statements: members’ remuneration, profit available for division, net assets attributable to members, and the reconciliation of members’ interests.
Sole traders and partnerships
Non-statutory accounts, marked as such: a detailed profit and loss account, a balance sheet, and a capital account or partners’ accounts.
Charity accounts
A statement of financial activities and balance sheet under the Charities SORP, or receipts and payments, with restricted and unrestricted funds.
Notes you can edit
Notes are built from the facts you answer.
PDF, Word and iXBRL
Every set downloads as a PDF and a Word document, and small companies and small LLPs get a filleted version too. Companies and LLPs also get an iXBRL file tagged to the FRC taxonomy, with what Tolvi can’t tag listed. Changes made in Word don’t come back.
Review points
Reviewers raise review points on a set and clear them. Open points stop approval, so the accounts can’t be approved over a question nobody has answered.
Wording help on notes
Ask Tolvi AI for a draft of a note’s wording, and accept it or don’t. It sees no names, registered details or amounts in pounds, and your firm can switch it off.

What’s live and what’s comingFiling with Companies House Coming
Filing accounts with Companies House from Tolvi is coming. It isn’t open today, so you download the accounts and deliver them yourself. Filing with the charity regulators isn’t built.
- No group accounts or public companies: both stop approval. IFRS accounts aren’t offered.
- None of this has yet been through Companies House or a regulator, or been reviewed by an outside accountant. Check each set as you would your own.
- Wording help on notes hasn’t yet been run on the live AI model, so read each draft closely.
- There’s no audit tool: an auditor’s report is held as supplied.
- A charity’s accounts have one version, with no iXBRL file, filleted copy or revised accounts. Pension working, and heritage asset and social investment notes, aren’t built.
- Sole trader and partnership accounts have no filleted version, iXBRL file or revised accounts, and income and expenditure accounts aren’t built.
- Revised accounts are by replacement only, not a supplementary note, and their iXBRL is blocked.
- Full FRS 102 has no filleted version. Defined benefit notes are the actuary’s words, and revaluation notes are written by hand. There’s no dedicated note for leases or share-based payments.
Questions about Tolvi Accounts
What accounts does Tolvi Accounts prepare?
Accounts for UK limited companies and LLPs under FRS 105, FRS 102 Section 1A and full FRS 102, non-statutory accounts for sole traders and partnerships, and charity accounts under the Charities SORP or on receipts and payments, in England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. It doesn’t prepare group accounts, public companies’ accounts or IFRS accounts.
Do we need Working Papers to use Tolvi Accounts?
No. Start from a typed or imported trial balance, or link a Working Papers file. If you link one and its figures change, the set is flagged and can’t be approved until someone refreshes it.
What can we download?
A PDF and a Word document of every set, with a filleted version for small companies and small LLPs. Companies and LLPs also get an iXBRL file. Charities’ and sole traders’ and partnerships’ accounts have no iXBRL file, and nobody outside Tolvi has checked one yet.
